“We are getting low on resources these days Mr. Hikes, have you betrayed my order?”

“Majesty, I’ll never betray any of your words. I am trying to adjust the economy, it was a new plan for improvement.”

“For glory’s will it was, and I do remember that, but I want you to increase the extraction process within the next hour.”

“We are already exploiting these new lands by using its silver mines, hunting deer and cutting down fig trees. What else do you want by harming the nature, my lord?”

“The Empire needs to be strong enough to hold the fort from native invasions as well as from other attacks. The more resources we have, the more wealth we gain, and if we have the wealth we can conquer anyone, simply anyone!!”

“Your words are pure majesty but what if the whole land will permanently get exhausted from all its resources?”

“You don’t have to worry about it, nor anyone in my empire has too. We own these lands and we do need to get expansions frequently to enlarge our powers. No more questions now fellow minister; go and have my order done. Make out the new settlers to gather resources and make sure everyone in the whole empire is employed. I don’t want to fall off from any taxes. You got it now?”

“Alright Sire.”
The finance minster of the Trinos went out of the castle and gave orders to the people and settlers of their empire.

These ages of empires started from 1300s as the age of discovery began, when the mighty powers or Europe started their expenditures to search for new lands, resources and other utilities that can help them to expand and dominate the world. Every empire had almost the same dream of world domination as well as exploitation of resources. But there was a small little kingdom known as Invinco Empireso, which meant “Invincible Empire” in certain and unknown language.

This little kingdom was having a population of around 8000 people of which 4500 living in the urban city of Gingo Town and rest were in the country side. The kingdom had two coastal areas. To The north of the Kingdom lied a native settlement, not that small, it was a large settlement which was in a good condition with its economy as well as with the kingdom of Invinco Empireso. The trade with the natives were often easy and friendly. They demanded for coins and gold to trade and the empire demanded native warriors and food for protection. The routes to their areas were made up of clay and dirt.

To the South of the Kingdom, there lied three islands which were not under the Kingdom not any natives or any other power. They were just three barren islands with neither good resources and soils nor any settlement. Those islands were known to be as 'Barreno Usilies' to the people of the kingdom.

There was river flowing to the South with its four other tributaries and eight canals from the Hilly Mountains of Kinego on the top with many streams and canals glowing from it. The ranges provided an adequate supply of water to the whole kingdom. Most of the areas were plains in the western part of the kingdom. The

King’s castle was in the Middle East of the Island protected by few forts and a small army of soldiers for additional defense. The navy was not too much advanced and spent a large budget on, however fishing boats and caravel fighters were there with the kingdom. There were further more soldiers on the boundary line and during the nights, there were even more.

The King of this land was not those of greedy and arbitrary rulers. He thought about his people and the trade and economy kingdom. Due to good relations with the tribal natives of the North, he also had commerce well established in the Kingdom.

Following were some of the rules that every person on their lands must follow or they would get punished:

  • Everyone must pay a wealth of 10% - 20% of their monthly income to the castle. This depends upon how much you earn, how much land you own and how old you are.

  • Anyone who do robbery, theft or any kind of offensive crime was punished by making him join army forever, serving as Janitors, security guards etc. in different areas and places of Invinco Empireso. If the person does it offensive, he shall be sentenced to death or be sent to another kingdom forever.

  • People had right to speak against Legislature, army, and even Judiciary, but not against the King.

One more things that was interesting to know is that their king doesn’t have all the powers with him. There was judiciary and legislature too who performed their tasks peacefully but the final action was sometimes taken by King if the guilty one wasn’t satisfied with the decision.

People here preferred to do trade, agriculture and fishing of the most which made the economy grow in positive way since the past forty-two years. Before that, the economic conditions of the Empire were fallen by around 87% as a cause of war. People still remember those days when they had nothing to eat and even nothing left for the survival. The king launched several refugee and employment programs to make people give a new start in their lives. Those seven days are remembered as the "Spiritual Week" in the empire.

The flag of the empire was a blue flag with five stars and 3 stripes
present on it with a logo of crown on the bottom right.

The empire was divided among four provinces and a capital of the king as the fifth province. Each province was controlled by a provincial superior but there and their regions worked under the Empire.

Yesterday while watching the sunset, several things about life and its existence came to my mind. After spending hours watching the beautiful sky, I decided to write about life and the way it goes on.

Life can’t be described by only one or two words. It is the mixture of everything. The mixture of happiness, sadness, failure, comfort, pain, encouragement, frustration, opportunities, love, hatred, relief, sorrow, and struggle, and giving up. Life is not perfect but it surely is beautiful.

Life is a journey. Everyone takes every step om a unique way. This journey may take you down by great storms and bumpy road. It does not matter, what matters the most is how many times you stand up to continue. Each moment on journey of life you are presented with an opportunity to react differently.

You may even make the same choices over and over again because you do not know how to choose otherwise. You have the power to change things and not walk around in constant circle.

Ups and downs are the main parts of life. Nobody grew up with a constant emotion. Many situations will test our emotions. It’ll make us happy, sad, angry, but one thing we must remember – it is just a test to make us stronger than before.

Life is a game and the only rule is there is “No mistake, only lessons to learn”. You’ll not always be a winner unless it’s not a game. You must struggle to survive but don’t be greedy to succeed at the expense of others. Life is not all about lying down in a bed of roses. There’re points in our life that’ll be bounded by the thorns of life.

We’ll feel the pain of loss, loneliness, failure and even rejection but one thing is clear – There’s peace after everything: There’s a rainbow after the rains and sunshine after the darkness.

Life is a lifetime challenge. Everyone has his/her burden, but what counts is how one carries it. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, the important thing is how to made it, and what you feel about it. You’re successful if you feel the contentment and you know if your heart that you made it in a good way.

Life offers many opportunities. It is up to you if you grab it or let it pass-by. Sometimes there are opportunities what’re not really meant for you. Keep in mind that the failure you once experience is not the end of everything. There are lots of opportunities. For you and the only thing you must do is to choose one and strive for it.

Life is a beautiful struggle. You must keep the journey going, not because of the guarantee but because of the possibility. Sometimes, struggles are exactly what you need in life. IF you were to go through your life without any obstacles, you’d be crippled. You’d not be as strong as you could have been.

Life is a journey with many options. A world to discover, dreams to change, goals to achieve, and people to meet. There will be times you may not know what you want, or where you want to go. In those moments, always remember – The best choice is standing still.
